Leather Care Guide
Full-grain leather asks for very little. Here is everything we do to our own pieces — nothing more is needed.
Every day
Nothing. Use it. Handling is what feeds the patina: oils from your hands, sunlight, the shape of your pocket. That darkening and softening is the leather working as intended.
If it gets wet
Wipe with a soft dry cloth and let it dry naturally, flat, away from radiators and direct sun. Never force-dry leather — heat is the one thing that genuinely damages it. Water marks blend into the patina within weeks.
Once or twice a year
Apply a small amount of neutral, colourless leather balm with a soft cloth. Work it in lightly, let it rest an hour, buff gently. This keeps the fibres supple.
What to avoid
Silicone sprays, alcohol, household cleaners, radiators, car dashboards in summer, and long soaks. If something serious happens to your piece, write to us before trying to fix it — we made it, and we can usually repair it.
